Ava Moore (guest star Famke Janssen) returns, requesting surgery to repair the face of her adopted son, who is encountering Post kala-azar dermal leishmaniasis. Meanwhile, she discovers Matt’s approaching nuptials, and once again manipulates her way into his everyday living. At the same time, Julia arrives in Los Angeles with surprising news about her individual life, a revelation which provokes each Sean and Christian to produce separate developments on her.
